Plante assez grêle; tige cylindrique verte; feuil. 5-10 lancéolées aux nervures marquées , inflorescence en épi allongé et étroit, en général très dense ; casque fermé sauf à son extrémité, sépales ovales, verts bordés de brun-rouge; labelle profondément trilobé, pendant, dont lobe médian est profondément bilobé , muni ou non d'une petite dent médiane .
